'Resign immediately Solicitor General Tushar Mehta', TM MPs met the President and demanded

New Delhi A Trinamool Congress delegation met President Ram Nath Kovind on Monday afternoon, demanding the removal of Tushar Mehta from the post of Solicitor General of India. After the meeting, TMC MP Mahua Moitra said that we have recently met the President. We have submitted a memorandum to the Solicitor General Tushar Mehta in connection with the matter of big policy related to the office. Demand for immediate resignation of Tushar Mehta Moitra said that we demand the immediate resignation of the SG on the ground of gross misconduct and immorality. The TMC MP said that on July 1, a BJP leader, MLA and Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly met the Home Minister at his residence. Soon after that they went to Solicitor-General Tushar Mehta's house at 10 Akbar Road. Who allowed Suvendu to enter SG's house? In this matter, another TMC MP Sukhendu Shekhar Rai said that he (Solicitor General) is apologizing for not being able to meet him (Suvendu Adhikari). Who allowed him (Suvendu Adhikari) to enter SG's residence? SG has violated Bar Council rules, professional ethics. We also consider this a conflict of interest. Wrote letter to PM Modi Earlier, Trinamool Congress MPs had also written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding the removal of Solicitor General Tushar Mehta for meeting BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari
in West Bengal. In a letter to the prime minister, party MPs Derek O'Brien and Mahua Moitra had alleged that the meeting between Mehta and the official was not only inappropriate but there was a direct conflict of interest. At the same time, it also undermines the dignity of the post of Solicitor General, the second highest law officer of the country. Suvendu Adhikari is an accused in Narada case Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Suvendu Adhikari is an accused in the 2016 Narada tape case. CBI is probing this entire matter. Tushar Mehta represents the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the Supreme Court and the Calcutta High Court in this case.
